Changes in the veterinary inspection in the port

On 1st January 2013, the Border Veterinary Inspections in Świnoujście and Hrebennem ceased to operate as independent budgetary entities.

According to the decision of the Chief Veterinary Doctor of 20th December 2012, the Border Veterinary Inspection in Świnoujście became a part of the Border Veterinary Inspection based in Szczecin, and the Inspection in Hrebennem was merged with the Border Veterinary Inspection in Koroszczyn.
For the port it means that a veterinary border inspection of animal products and animal feed as well as therapeutic feed at the border crossing in the seaport of Świnoujście can be provided by the Border Veterinary Doctor based in Szczecin. The same applies to veterinary inspection of animal feed and therapeutic feed at the border crossing in the Kołobrzeg seaport.
