Military assessment

On 13th June this year, the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority hosted a meeting involving representatives of the US Army C/457th Civil Affairs Battalion, the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority and DB Port Szczecin. The meeting aimed at assessing the civil and military cooperation during the international exercise Anakonda 16 in the port of Szczecin.

As regards handling of US troops in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście, the joint priority task for specialist units of the Seaports Authority and the US Army C/457th Civil Affairs Battalion is to establish standard procedures that provide for smooth flow of information and cooperation during handling of NATO troops without interrupting the flow of cargo and services in the two ports.

During the meeting, attendees visited locations in the port involved in handling the military during the Anakonda 16 and Brilliant Jump 16 exercises.

People participating in the visit were impressed by the efficient, effective, and timely handling of the military in the Szczecin seaport.
