The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Transport MECKLENBURG-VORPOMMERN to visit Szczecin Seaport

On 10th May 2010, upon the invitation of Jarosław Siergiej, Chairman of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority, a delegation of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, headed by Sebastian Schroeder, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Transport, Building and City Development M-VP, visited the Szczecin Seaport.

German delegates expressed their interest in the current situation in our ports, opportunities for cooperation between Polish and German businesses, and development plans for the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście in the years to come.
Earlier the same day, guests from Germany visited Marcin Zydorowicz, the Governor of the Zachodniopomorskie Region. During the visit to the port, Zbigniew Rapciak, Chairman of Polish LNG, provided information on the building of the LNG terminal in the port of Świnoujście, whereas Jarosław Siergiej, Chairman of the Seaports Authority, delivered a presentation on the port’s investment policy and development plans.
At the end of the visit, the guests went on a tour around the port and admired a beautiful panorama of Szczecin from the top of the EWA Silo.
- I am very satisfied with the visit to the port. I can see how much has already been done and admire the ambitious investment programme. But at the same time, I noticed that a lot more needs to be done and there are serious challenges ahead, said Sebastian Schroeder at the end of his visit in the Port of Szczecin.
